John Lisners qualified as a solicitor in January 2004. Before joining Altermans as a solicitor, John ran a successful general practice, incorporating property, private client, probate, civil litigation and intellectual property. He has advised major publishing groups on libel and copyright issues and is himself an author. Widely travelled, he speaks several languages and has acted in property and probate matters for local and overseas clients and in the High Court in libel cases. He studied law in England and Australia and apart from his practice as solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, he is qualified as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. John’s can-do attitude to solving difficult problems through lateral thinking has resulted in glowing praise from many grateful clients.
